The Colin and Adam Show

So I'm sure some people have noticed (more accurately, I hope that some people noticed) that we haven't recorded anything in a while.  A long while.  A very long while.  I wish I could say that work got to be busy and all that shit, but honestly I could have made more time.

It's amazing how when you don't do something for a while you bein to miss doing it, but do absolutely nothing to start doing it again.  Well, that's going to change because I'm going to restart the Colin and Adam Podcast.

There's going to be few changes made, but nothing serious.  Just a way to make it mor fun to listen to.  So keep checking back, things will be up and re-running soon.

Ok, so I'm not sure who watched the VMA's last night or if anyone even knew that they were on.  Whatever moron scheduled MTV's annual trainwreck the same time as NFL Week 1 deserves to be fired.  I browsed through the blogs and cam across some pictures of Lady Gaga.

Seriously, what the fuck is up with this bitch?  I'm sick and tired of these "singers/celebs" that do shit like this on purpose because they love the attention.  But everyone eats it up like, whoa check it Gaga.  She's a rebel who plays by her own rules, doesn't like your safe idea of fashion.

SHE IS NOT A REBEL.  She is no more a rebel than Avril Lavigne.  They have entire teams that try to think up of ways to get their names in papers.  Or the internet since newspapers and magazines are basically a dead medium.

What kind of hayseeds by into this shit?  How fucking dumb are we as a country?  People who like watching what she does are  probably the same people who thought the Beer Summit was really cool.  We just buy into stuff like this without ever thinking twice.  Wake up.

So we did our first episode yesterday.  I listend to it a few times and had some other people give me feedback.

I know the mics sounded like shit.  And now I know why.  When I was doing a sound check I set everything up wrong and turned the input volume on my computer all the way up thinking that was the problem.  So when I fixed the set up it never got turned down.  So everything sounded good in our head phones but was recorded like the microphones where in our stomachs.  We considered re-recording it, but you just can't do that and get the same results. Then we thought about not just putting it up but we've pimped it so hard for so long we just couldn't not put it up.

So that's fixed.  Now we just gotta fix the humming in the background which is just a grounding issue.  But tech and production problems aside, I am very happy with everything.  We were funny and had really good content which is what you really need to focus on. 

Me and Adam have had the mentality that this is a work in progress.  I've never really liked making mistakes but we just have to fix them as we go along.  The big guys doing radio or podcasts never had amaxing shows out of the gate so we just gotta deal.

I think Monday we are going to head over to the music store to fix the humming noise.  And we might do a mini-sode that night.  At the very least we are going to record to make sure the bugs are fixed.  So stick with us, it will get better.

I hate the word blog.  It sounds disgusting, and is a shitty attempt at creating an acronym from Web-Log.  Every dope out there has an opinion on something and is always pushing their blog. So you can see why I'm hesitant to do one.

That being said, this is going to be my log of whatever it is we're up to with the podcast, as well as whatever the hell else I feel like writing about. Also, I'd like to say thanks to everyone who is taking the time to visit our site and listen to our shit.

So i've decided to at least do one blog per day.  Just to give people a reason to keep coming back to the site and all that.  It's just gonna be about something I saw or what that week's podcast will be on.

We are recording our very first podcast this weekend.  Everything has arrived and it sounds very good.  We are really excited about all this, we have been wanting to do it for some time.

This week we are going to be talking about a few things.  It looks like alot but I would rather cancel a few topics than not have enough.

On the slate - a hospital employee got suspended for putting up an American flag, the Jon and Kate fiasco and why we thing Jon is a friggin saint.  We are also going to touch on the recent Sammy Sosa steroids test and Bud Selig's reaction.
